Dear Falcon Families,
I hope you are enjoying your Sunday. I want to thank you for completing the ballot for your parent representatives to serve on our School Site Council (SSC) and Site Governance Team (SGT). Your three parent representatives for SSC will be Christina Riehl, Rich Lawson and Karen Shockley. Your parent representative for SGT, along with our current serving SGT parent representatives Jen Marchesini and Sylvia Borgo, will be Jenny Cornelissen. I look forward to working with all of them this year and making this year a great one. In this update I’ve included some info about Mending Matters, how to buy tickets to the football game early through “GoFan”, the Wednesday College Series and more. Here are the latest updates as of 9-26-21.

Mending Matters Class Presentations - FYI
Mending Matters is an outside organization that we contract with for student mental health and social-emotional learning support. Teachers have been given the option to sign up their classes for an introductory presentation so students can learn about the services they provide. Multiple classes signed up for presentations over the next few weeks. See this Link: MM Parent Letter for additional information. When classes sign up for this presentation, Vice Principal Hines will send this letter directly to families.
Buy Tickets to the Football Games Early
We are excited to announce our online ticket selling system, called GoFan, is up and running. With GoFan, you can purchase tickets to sporting events early so you don’t have to wait in line when entering the stadium. Our next football home game is this Friday, October 1st. Senior College Presentation and Supports
Last week on Wednesday & Thursday Seniors were shown the Senior Presentation in their English classes. For English 101 students and any other students who missed the presentation, the video and slide deck can be viewed on the Senior page on the Counseling website. Students can also access to the Senior Post-Secondary Guide on the Senior page to help with the college application process, as well as exploring other post-secondary options.
Senior One-On-One Meetings
On Friday students were given an opportunity to sign up for an individual meeting with their counselor. Over the next two weeks counselors will be meeting with seniors to discuss post-secondary plans and supports. If your student did not sign up for a meeting with their counselor yet, they can come by the counseling office during a passing period or lunch to sign up.
New Counselor Alpha Breakdown
Counselor caseloads have been adjusted due to enrollment. The district shared that we may get another counselor, if that happens there could be a slight change again. We appreciate your understanding with these changes, so we are able to give the best possible service to our students.
Please note who your student's counselor is this year.
