Parent Message 3-14-21
Dear Falcon Families,
I hope you are all continuing to do well. It’s looking like brighter days are ahead so my fingers are crossed that is the case. I know we are all eager to hear more details about our school reopening, but unfortunately, I do not have any further reopening updates at this time. The target week for students returning onsite is still the week of April 12th. In this evening’s update, I have included information pertaining to Monday’s Student Wellness Workshop, a modified schedule for Friday, the breakout recordings from our “What I Wish My Parent’s Knew” event, our upcoming theatre production, and more. Here are the latest updates as of 3-14-21
* Please forward this message to your child’s email account so they have all the latest info.
SRHS Wellness Workshop Monday March 15th
We know students are going through a lot right now with all of the difficulties the pandemic has brought forth. In order to help support students with items like stress management, finding balance, personal growth and success, and more, Mending Matters is putting together monthly virtual workshops to educate SRHS students in these areas. The next scheduled workshop is this Monday, March 15th from 3 – 4:30pm. The workshop is open to all students. To sign up, students should complete this confidential Google Form: Scripps Ranch Wellness Workshop.
Assembly Schedule for Friday March 19th
This coming Friday, March 19th we will have a modified bell schedule in order to have a 30-minute No Place for Hate virtual assembly. Classes are shortened by 10 minutes and students will virtually attend the assembly with their period 2 teacher. See this Link: March 19th Assembly Schedule for the schedule for that day.
What I Wish My Parent’s Knew – breakout room recordings
For those of you who are interested in seeing some of the breakout room presentations, I have provided the links below. As a reminder, we did not record the main student panel for student privacy reasons.

Theatre Production March 25th – 27th
I’m excited to announce our Falcon Playhouse will be virtually performing the play Ten/Two: Ten Plays for Two Actors by Lindsey Price. The show will take place virtually March 25th – 27th. Tickets are on sale at https://www.showtix4u.com/event-details/47155.
The CIF season has officially begun for Spring sports. Tryout dates, times and other information can be seen on the athletics website. As I’ve stated the last few weeks, athletic information is continuing to change daily so the best way to keep up with the latest news is through the SRHS athletic website.
We want to thank our families in advance for their patience as we continue to work on uploading and correcting student course requests. We know students get anxious to find out their courses for next year, and this part of the process is very important for us to be able to create a master schedule and start making schedules for our students. We greatly appreciate your understanding that due to the amount of time and work needed for this process, it may take a little longer to respond to non-emergency situations.
Current Freshman, Sophomores and Juniors have completed articulation. Any student who did not upload their class requests into the Student Portal, had them completed by their counselor. Counselors are also reviewing the courses students requested to make sure they have met the prerequisites and can be prepared for success. If students chose classes they are not qualified to take at this time, for many classes, it is not too late to be qualified by the end of the year! Please have your student review the prerequisites for the courses chosen to confirm they have met them. This is important so they are aware of whether-or-not they need to raise their grade or earn a teacher recommendation at the end of the year. Prerequisites can be checked on the Course Descriptions on the Counseling website.
