Dear Falcon Families,


We made it! Wow, it has been a long and, to say the least, difficult year. I can’t thank you all enough for your support and for your willingness to be a partner with us as we did our best to make this school year as successful as it could be. Brighter days are definitely ahead! My hope for everyone is to have a much needed, quiet and relaxing summer. This will be my last Sunday update of the school year. Just like I did last summer, I will share out weekly updates as needed over the summer. As a reminder, 9th and 10th grade students are scheduled to return their textbooks this coming week. For seniors, please remember to drop off your Chromebook on the 14th and pick up your diploma on the 15th. For all students, refer to the “end of the year activities” link to see all important events for these last 2 days of school. Here are the final updates for the 2020-21 school year.

Last Day of School for Students is Tuesday, June 15th

As a reminder, the final day for students in grades 9-11 is Tuesday, June 15th. We will not be doing special shortened final days for this school year.


Final Semester 2 Grades

The final semester grading period will end on Tuesday, June 15th. Final Semester 2 grades will be available to view on Friday, June 18th via the PowerSchool Parent Portal. Due to the pandemic, physical report cards will not be sent home.

Details for Students Returning Textbooks

Students, please check https://destiny.sandi.net for all outstanding material. Look for Scripps Ranch High School and login with your student ID and password.

Students Grade 9 – 10

Please return books during Flex Time 1:00pm - 3:30pm on the following days:

June 14th - 10th grade

June 15th – 9th grade

The library will also be open for Textbook Returns for students in grades 9-12 from 8:00am - 3:30pm Wednesday, June 16, Thursday, June 17, and Friday, June 18 for students who cannot come to campus on the above assigned dates. To see the full details, see the Link: SRHS Library website.


Reminder: Student Summer Chromebook Info - Reminder

As mentioned in the end of the year activities documents, students in 9th, 10 and 11th grade will keep their Chromebooks over the summer. We have complied information to ensure students know how to care for their Chromebook so it’s ready for next school year. Work Permits

If your student is interested in working over the summer and needs to acquire a work permit, that process is done through the San Diego Unified School District. Click Link: Work Permit Summer Info for more information.


Continuing Student Paperwork

Continuing student paperwork for all current 9th-11th SRHS and our incoming 9th graders/current Marshall Middle School 8th graders will be processed during Kickoff dates in August. The packets will be available on the main website AFTER August 1st.


Counseling Updates

Summer Availability

Along with our students and teachers, counselors will also be enjoying a much needed summer break. Therefore, we will not be available to respond to emails or answer phone messages left over the summer. If you have any questions or concerns after the school year has ended, please reach out to your counselor when we come back at the end of August. We look forward to coming back in the fall, refreshed to start the new school year and support our students! We wish you a relaxing summer!

Course Request Changes for 2021-22 school year

Students were given an opportunity to see their course requests for next year in their PowerSchool account and request changes on a google form that was due on June 6th. All submitted forms will be reviewed by counseling and changes will be made if the student meets the prerequisites, there is room in the class and it fits in their schedule. Changes made will be confirmed at Kick-off. All elective change requests will be accepted on a different form during Kick-off. Counselors will not be able to accept course change requests via email.

Summer School 2021

Summer school starts on June 21st. If you already submitted a summer school application, the district and/or summer school site will reach out to let your student know they have been signed up for summer school, the location and start time by June 18th. If you have questions about your student’s enrollment, you will need to contact the summer school site directly for information. If your student has not signed up for summer school yet, they should show up on the first day of summer school to see if they can be added. The onsite summer school sites are: Clairemont, Hoover, Kearny, La Jolla, Lincoln, Madison, Mira Mesa, Mission Bay, Morse, Patrick Henry, Serra, University City. Summer school sites will start at 8:30 A.M. or 9:00 A.M., so we would recommend showing up extra early to get added. Summer Enrichment Opportunities.

Summer enrichment programming is being offered by the district’s VAPA, CCTE, and community partners throughout June, July, and August 2021. Enrichment opportunities will include sports camps, STEAM-based experiences, access to UCSD Extension courses, and UC Scout online AP courses. There is limited space in the college and AP courses. All enrichment options will be available for enrollment on the Level Up SD website https://levelupsandiego.org/

Senior Students – Final Transcript Request

Now is the time for students to request a Final Transcript if they are attending college next year. Students must complete this Final Transcript Request Form to have their transcript sent to the college of their choice. Final Transcripts should NOT be requested on Naviance. Additional information about transcripts can be found on the Transcript Request Page on the Counseling Website.
